Hi! I am hoping for some info on this banjo and also what I should ask for it. I was gifted this by a late family member who was a friend of Seeger. We think it was a gift from him as my mother still has letters that were written back and forth from them. He was also gifted one of his 12 strings as well which is pretty incredible. I am hoping to find this a new home to someone who will love it as I do not play banjo. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Provenance showing that Pete Seeger once owned this wouldn't hurt—picture of him playing it would help a lot. That said, he was gifted many long necks over the years and gave or sold them as he felt so a "long neck possibly owned by Pete", by itself, doesn't mean much.
There is a market for long necked Ode banjos such as this. Those arch top forged aluminum pots pack a solid punch when properly set up. My Muse (retail Ode brand) is louder than any of my Vega Tubaphones or masterclone.
If looking for a correct Ode tailpiece, I may have a spare in a parts box that came to me on a frankenbanjo. PM me if interested.
