To clarify, the game directions are as follows:

Example:
track …. subtract the “k” , add an “e” = trace (I didn’t have to reorganize the letters,,, another answer would be “cart” - I subtracted the “k” and reorganized the letters)”

So my understanding of our game options are:
1) Reorganize the original letters of the word using only those letters
2) Reorganize the original letters of the word and add a letter
3) Reorganize the original letters of the word and subtract a letter
4) Leave the original word as written but insert a letter
5) Leave the original word as written but subtract a letter

6) Both add a letter and subtract a letter on the same game entry?

See, now I can’t enter “batting” cuz I’m deleting 2 , even though they’re the same letter.

I take the above items #1 thru #5 to be the actual rules for thus fame as I interpret them.
If I am not mistaken there were a couple of #6 (not an official game rules) examples inadvertently posted in the past. Be that as it may I am attempting to clarify the rules so that I do not make a verboten game post which would be in violation of posted official BHO game oversight committee guidelines, which could result in my being formally banned for life from the BHO.
