Loves me some hurdy gurdy. I think it was popular in parts of the old Ottoman Empire, and is still played from Turkiye to eastern Europe. Definitely a folk instrument.
I've seen L'enfer du Nord a few times, and as mentioned in your video, it played a role in Led Zeppelin. And Donovan wrote Hurdy Gurdy Man, which I always liked.
