^^^ My daughter went to high school with Dustin Brown ,, she said he wasn’t in attendance at school very much. Road trips, late nights getting back home, heavy game schedule, etc. As a teenager with lots of “status” in a smaller junior hockey town like Guelph, St. Catharines, Oshawa, etc. the “fame” can go to your head, I’d say. Taking liberties with girls in compromising situations seems to be too prevalent.

I've read of this before [or possibly a similar rink]. Lang's "Stairs Of Death." https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1689153359877719&set=pcb.1689154416544280
I've been/played in a few with a half-flight, but can't recall a full flight ... let alone a moveable set.
I've never been to Lang, but might have to make a detour one of these times ... did that for Moose Jaw's "Crushed Can," so why not for "The Stairs of Death?

Im thinking the end of the bat lags behind so you could be onto something,, although most batting coaches probably know this. It’s still up to the batter to recognize early if the ball will be outside.
btw, clarification about my Tim Hortons (why isn't there an apostrophe after the “n”?) post ,,,, i thought my tongue in cheek would convey with the words “mirth and “frivolity” ; I in no way find that commercial very funny , but the last few frames with Marchand i found amusing,, although any image of the little ball of hate tickles my funny bone. ( but…. If’n i wuz 10 years auld i would be hounding my ma and pa to stop in at TH’s so,’s i could collect the whole set of those cards)
A few years ago one of our daughters asked us to buy packs for her... the plan was she'd use them for stocking stuffers for the kiddos. Only problem was that by the time we went out for Christmas we'd only remembered on one occasion, so she didn't get as many as she'd anticipated. For some reason she didn't bother asking us when Timmie rolled out subsequent promotions. Go figure!
Wot the **** ?!?!?
Facebook tells me that all 32 NHL teams are playing tonight. Number of games on Westman cable ..... zeeero!!
Now I see an ad [on MLB broadcast] that I can subscribe to Sportsnet something or other for $12.99 a month and start watching ..... yada, yada, yada.

Re. "It would behoove us all to cheer on the Brewers," It looks like the behooving bore fruit! I, for one, sure. never. saw. that. coming.
But, but, but, I see I'm gonna hafta have a word [again* - sigh] with Westman Cable. Their program guide doesn't always jive with the broadcasts. Game listed for 8:00 .... so I tune in and WTF!!! already in 4th. inning. It occassionally happens with l'ockey too .... tune in at the listed start time [natually (?) with allowance being made for the pre-game b.s.
] and it's first intermission!!
* hasn't helped in the past, but ... where there's life, there's hope???
I hear the natives are getting antsy in Philly. I've read that "they have the talent," so that tells me it's the coach [the streakiness of sports notwithstanding].
I'm putting my doh-rey-me on the bozos at Westman. I've spoken to them in-person and their "explanation" [cough, cough] is obvious b.s. obviously!! Wouldn't even hold water when mail was delivered by pony express [or dog team since weez in Canada] let alone in the age of instant communication. Fwiw, I think there's probably two factors ... a) they don't care, and b) a minute's bull**** and this guy will be out of my hair for "x" amount of time. ![]()
