More About Me
My grandmother Rosanna, taught me the joy of music at a young age. She was a pianist, and my first music memories are of me sitting next to her singing Christmas carols. She and my grandfather, Ed, had a lot to do with my love of Bluegrass music because it was an interest we shared. When I visited them in Eastern Tennessee, we would go pick guitar at a barbecue or the dam at Norris Reservoir. There were also many other festivals and concerts we attended. I cherish these musical memories and always think of them when I hear John Hartford's banjo ring.
My parents Ed and Karin believe that art is an important piece to a person's character. My mother studies and works with many different media, and currently loves to paint watercolor landscapes and portrait. My father plays the guitar, mandolin and banjo and has always been an inspiration.
My wife Kim, is a vocalist and comedian, and I consider myself fortunate to be able to create and entertain others standing by her side.
I currently play banjo in the Punkin Holler Boys, and as an acoustic duo Kim and Zorba. I also create backing tracks on Youtube under Bluegrass Jam and teach ukulele, guitar and mandolin. You can find me online at www.zorbarose.com. Email at info@zorbarose.com or call or text (317) 251-0846.
