More About Me

I have been a full-time teacher since 1994 on banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, and bass. In 2022 I will be teaching at the Merlefest Jam Camp, Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Camp, Strawberry Jam Camp, Colorado Roots Music Camp, and the Alaska Guitar Camp. In addition - I host camps at our home in East TN. My job as a teacher is to help you learn in the easiest way for you. Not all people are book learners. If you are interested in pursuing lessons, please contact me. I love everything from traditional bluegrass to new grass. My banjo of choice is a Deering Saratoga Star.
