More About Me
I am currently providing on-line lessons on banjo through Facetime or Skype. Also, beginning guitar and mandolin. In addition, I conduct classes and folk/bluegrass jam sessions through the adult education programs of the Hamburg School District.
I have performed with a number of bands since the mid 1970s and am currently performing with Sunset Bluegrass Band of which I am the founder and leader. I am also a member of the Buffalo Banjo Band and, in the past, was the music coordinator for the United Heritage Fiddlers Association of Western New York.
I have written a Beginning Bluegrass Banjo book as well as several columns for Banjo Newsletter and in March of 1980 was featured BNL with my adult education banjo class.
My teaching style is flexible and informal, using the strengths and interests of the student to guide instruction.
