After having formed the old-time revival act, The Shiftless Rounders, touring with Luther Wright and the Wrongs, the Be Good Tanyas, King Wilkie and many more, Phillips has settled in North Carolina and is currently accepting new students. From homeless embankments to the halls of the Smithsonian Institute, Phillips has brought his singular clawhammer style to the delight of countless fans and banjo enthusiasts.
