Private lessons: Mid Rivers Music St. Peters Mo
In my class you will learn valuable skills needed for playing the banjo. Whether you are at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level, there is something for everyone.
You will start with the basics, tuning, hand positions, chords, reading tablature and learning the right hand roles. Moving along, you will be working on backup techniques, licks, the Scruggs style, Reno style and the Melodic style. You will be applying all of these to a variety of songs ranging from easy solos for beginners to more complex melodic tunes.
Studying the material will give you a greater understanding of the banjo and help you apply what you have learned when playing alone or in a band setting. Although you will learn basic skills and other valuable information from my class, it is only a guideline. You should be encouraged to take what you learn and build upon it, improvising and developing your own unique style.
