More About Me
I have been playing clawhammer banjo for nearly a decade (mostly while living in southwest virginia) and have been teaching lessons for around 6 months since moving to michigan. I arrange lessons around traditional old time fiddle tunes.
I stress proper left hand position, following the one finger per fret rule that I have adapted from years playing the cello, and I teach each song in the most appropriate banjo tuning. I like to briefly touch on music theory when appropriate but lessons will mostly be hands on instruction with tablature for you to take home. I can either suggest new tunes for each lesson or you can pick ones that interest you most!
