More About Me

<strong>I love the banjo and have been playing and teaching </strong>for several decades (yikes...). I play Old-Time clawhammer banjo in two bands and teach clawhammer and 3-finger picking styles. I put videos on YouTube (search for clawhammertim) for my students to refer to during the time between lessons.<br />
<br />
I'm also the Director of the Traditional Music Project at the Real School of Music in Burlington, MA. We have regular weekly music sessions of all-kinds as well as workshops, concerts and private lessons.<br />
<br />
I focus on musicality through having complete control of right and left hand technique and timing. I particularly love old-time fiddle and banjo tunes from the Ozark Mountains and Southern Appalachia.</p>
