More About Me
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania.
I got my first banjo in 1989 at the age of 14.
I have a degree in music composition from UARTS in Philadelphia.
I've shared the stage with pop stars and blues singers in Europe, including numerous TV appearances over the years and a few international tours. I've played electric banjo in front of crowds of tens of thousands.
I learned straight-up Scruggs style at first, but, after working with musicians in other genres, I forced myself to study all the keys and modes, and this has helped me to blend into any style and add unexpected passages. It has also made my fingers stronger and faster and made me intimately familiar with the fretboard.
