More About Me
I am a Luthier out of Chicago Illinois and I Graduated from The University of Redlands Johnston Center for Integrated Studies. I build and modify all my instruments for my performance Degree with the University of Redlands School of Music where you can see me play percussion with the school band and Banjo with the Jazz Improvisation Ensemble. I have Studied Music Theory with the school as well to develop my own musicianship to be able to hear and play with almost anyone. I like to collaborate with people who like to play music. I utilize a RC 50 loop station and play Accordion, Bass, Banjo, Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, Sitar, Tabla, Sarode, Setar, Keys, and any type of Percussion. I have two CD's out one is from Senior Year in High school called Slice and Dice where I attempt to play as many different types of Genres as possible to appeal to the music lovers taste. I enjoy building wood instruments and working on the electronics inside many electronic instruments. At school I have three full size electronic organs saved from a thrift store that got them from the Churches in the surrounding area. I modified these as well by fixing the pedals and keys, replacing the speakers, and cleaning out the layers of dust inside the electronics. I love to fix peoples instruments as well and that is how I would like to make money I do it for very cheap because I also get credit for school, if you need any help with your instruments I can help you out. No instrument is to hard to fix I went to India in 2009 and studied Tabla and studied how to fix and build many Indian Instruments. I took lessons with Barun Kumar Pal a Ravi Shankar disciple and Tansen Shrivastava, Both have their own web sites and play all around the world I was very lucky to learn from these masters. While I studied in India I went to as many instrument shops as I could to learn anything I could. I also made a venture to Kolkata where I met Hemen Sen the worlds greatest Sarode Builder three days before his death. I purchased one of the last Sarodes built under his hands. It is possibly my favorite instrument I own.
