More About Me

I teach banjo lessons (as well as mandolin and dobro) and bluegrass ensembles of different levels. My teaching method focuses on learning by ear, timing, improvisation, discovering your own style, and real-life jamming and performing skill development. Everyone who plays should get together with other musicians and jam--even simple songs with people of the same skill level. In addition to teaching bluegrass classes that my students can attend, I find ways to connect my students with the larger musician community.
