More About Me
My path to music started when was 11 where I started to play guitar and soon began teaching at the age of 16. Since that time I have giggled regionally with multiple bands and projects and in 2009 released my first concept album, which can be heard here: www.ballouband.com.
Banjo was introduced to me much later and I immediately fell in love with this instrument. Although I do teach a Scrugg's/three-finger style, I also instruct other genres of music from classical to Eastern European to middle eastern to just about everything else. Currently I am working on a book focusing on the modes and exotic scales not commonly associated with the banjo.
