My name is Tommy Sivert and I will help you get started playing the 5-string banjo. I have worked at Gold Tone Musical Instruments, probably the industry leader in entry level banjos, as Sales Manager, Artist Relations, Operations, and other positions. I have also played as a professional banjo player and multi-instrumentalist. I have worked as a professional in instrument setup, repair, and restoration. I will help you get your banjo playing and sounding its best while teaching the correct hand positions and fundamentals.
These days, there are many instructional materials available on the internet. I think most people would agree that there are many invaluable lessons that you can get from a one-on-one lesson that you just can't get online. The basic foundation and hand position is one of them. I am here to help answer questions about proper technique and will help you take your playing to the next level. No schedule is necessary and I am available to teach anytime.
