Hey Everyone!
First, let me introduce myself.. my name is Austin McGregor and I am interested in teaching bluegrass banjo in the Asheville, and surrounding areas. I have been playing for around 12 years, 7 of which I spent playing professionally in a band that I helped form called Northern Departure. I am originally from Seattle, WA, and moved to NC in 2014. I greatly enjoy the music scene here, and all of the great people that come with it.
I would like to reach out, and get to know some fine folks who are also interested in the same passion as I am, maybe you are considering purchasing a banjo, or just feeling stuck in a period of your learning.. I am most interested in helping you, and bringing even more joy to your life.. I teach all levels of playing, from the early stages of just learning rolls, to playing more complex music. If you would like more information, or have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me via phone or email. I am available during the evenings, and certain weekends. I have a demo readily available for anyone who would like to hear some clips. Lets take banjo playing to the next level!
