More About Me
Joe has been playing the 5 string banjo since 1975. He is a graduate of South Plains College with a degree in country/bluegrass studies and recording technology. He has played with numerous bands both live and in the studio. He enjoys performing and jamming at local festivals and jams in the Metro Atlanta/North Ga area. Joe lives just outside of Atlanta in Woodstock, Ga. Teaching banjo is a passion of Joe's and his goal is to see his students develop into accomplished musicians. He teaches the three finger style of playing with an emphasis on solid fundamentals. He is known for a solid, smooth right hand, creative leads, diverse backup techniques and enjoys exploring various keys, rhythms and styles.
Joe offers in person and remote instruction to all ages and experience levels.
