More About Me
Hello!
I am currently studying my masters degree in music at the University of Plymouth. I first began my banjo journey at 16 as a giant Mumford and Sons fan.
My taste and style has since evolved alongside my passion for Clawhammer banjo. Genres I enjoy interpreting for Clawhammer include; Americana, English Folk, Shanties and Celtic music. However I am happy to tackle any song that a student wishes to learn.
I also have a good grounding in Scruggs style banjo and can set a student on the right track to further their learning in Bluegrass.
I have previous experience teaching instrumental lessons in schools, I am fully DBS checked and I have a first class honours degree in music which I completed last year.
I welcome students of any age for lessons and I firmly believe that it's never too late to start playing an instrument!
After establishing a good grounding in basic technique lessons will be tailored to suit students musical interests.
Lessons are taught from my home just outside of Plymouth and £25 an hour. I can travel to you for lessons for a negotiable rate depending on distance.
