More About Me
I've been playing banjo almost 5 years. I played guitar for 15 before that. I help people get started on Scruggs, Single String, and melodic styles. I can help you learn how to play by ear, make practice time more efficient, jam, improvise, compose, arrange, etc. I'll give you the tools you need to get started and become a self sufficient musician. I've transcribed over 100 solos by Scruggs, Sonny, JD, Shelor, Ralph, and more. I can help teach you what I have learned or work on the breaks and Instrumentals of players you like.
My goal as a teacher is to make each lesson fun, set attainable goals each week, and get people "ready for the jam".
I give lessons from my studio room at Kentucky Music in Bowling Green, KY, and at Nick'a School of Rock and Music store in Leitchfield, KY. I l also do Skype lessons and in/home lessons around the Bowling Green area.
