More About Me
I am a retired in-home childcare provider of 30 years. I've decided to step up and share my banjo knowledge of many years with those interested in learning to play. I began lessons at the age of 9 with my 'Musical Mother', Ruth Bockelman who guided me by teaching with both notes and then tablature. I performed for Radio, played for local churches and organizations for entertainment and for festivals locally. During those formative years, I also participated in music contests, winning Superior ratings for my efforts. I've always played for my own enjoyment and would be happy to teach others the love of playing the banjo. It's not just for bluegrass anymore! Although my first love is bluegrass, I also play just about any sheet music put in front of me in any genre. Please, only students who have at least begun reading music in school or older.
