Excellent first outing for a "just Startin'", I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. You have stretched out the time on this tune; it reminds me of a tune Ed Britt likes to play called Ships Are Frailing, that he learned from Bertram Levy's classic album, "That Old Gut Feeling." Levy took an old Irish tune called Ships Are Sailing, and converted it to sort of half-time the way you have here, taking the melody notes that into normally would be crammed into one bump-diddy pattern, and stretching them out over two patterns. It sort of takes a reel and turns it into a two-step. I think.
