First recording with the Blaylock Bear Tracks tone ring. Been on about a week and a half. Listen to the tone, don't pay attention to the sub-par picking. Not so good mic, but you get the picture. Unplated, no hole on a Cox rim, maple resonator and neck. THIS BANJO IS ONLY A WEEK AND A HALF OLD!!

You are on the right track. Play along with CDs as much as you can. Play more 1/16th notes. Are you tapping your foot? It took me 20 years to get where you are today.
