Learned from Elizabeth Cotton. I don't sing but MS Cotton sings it nicely right along with the melody of the tune. The Lyrics are: "Hallelujah To God, I believe on The Son. I've been saved by the blood of the crucified One" .....that's it, over and over....

Pretty work. I think traditional finger style guitar transfers well to five string banjo, both share a deep fondness for syncopation, and both find unexpected ways of presenting the melody. That's it, over and over.
