For some reason Audacity wouldn't record the whistle very well. Maybe the computer can't handle playing and recording at the same time. The whistle cuts out now and then.

I like it Carey. What kind of whistle is it? Made of wood?

The whistle is one of my own making, and is CPVC water pipe. It does sound like wood doesn't it? Thanks for that, I tried real hard for it not to sound like plastic. I'm really not happy with the recording at all, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I think sharing whatever is better than not.
You can check out the whistle at www.parkswhistles.com. There are some better recordings of whistle tunes by some of my customers there.

They are great for just tossing into a gig bag or backpack so you can have one with you. Some people make PVC cases for their whistles out of water pipe. These ARE pvc. I throw one in the bottom of my kayak and go paddle in the Everglades. When I want to play I just rinse the sand out in the sea and all's well. Pretty robust things. And the tone ring lets you mute the whiste, which is how I prefer to play around the camp fire. I feel mellow not rockus cillin' at night.
