Yet another song I practice everyday. This one if one of my favorite ones to play, and this one only took 4 takes to record.

FL, if you are counting in eights, you are giving that opening slide on the 4th string two beats, and so you are coming in with the index on the third string on the third beat, and that is too late. The 2-5 slide is a quick slide that should last only one beat, then hit open third string on beat 2, then continue your roll and see where you end up, in terms of timing. A few measures later, the 2-5 slide on the first string *is* a 2-beat slide, so you nailed that one perfectly. But the opening slide is different. Look at the tab, suggested to you by your instructor, that you posted to the "warm-up exercise" thread. In that tab you give 2/5 only one beat. That tab is the way to play these opening notes of FB Mail. RB
