So... I guess I'm in a band. We've not selected a name yet, but at least we're playing once or twice a week. As a study/practice aid, we're recording some sessions - straight onto a Mac notebook using the internal mic. Amazed how good it can sound. This song is edited down - my first experiment with Audacity - hence the weird crossfade right at the start of my solo break.

I would add something about this recording. As noted, my first solo break was dreadful and didn't make the cut. My second started perfectly but I found myself lost halfway through the A part - and I was absolutely floundering. I don't know how I worked through it but I ended up with one of the coolest lead breaks I ever played. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell I did it.

I thought it sounded cool! You are the kind of player who sounds good even when you are messing up. :-)
