Jay ,i have listened to all the songs and find them just wonderful ,great pickin. ..But i saw that the Tenn.Waltz was played more and wanted to know why .Well ,now i know ,that was the best i have ever heard it played ,even in its heyday . I like the way you pick ,very smooth and timing is incredible ,no rushed or pushed notes .Cant say enough ,thanks for sharing ,Eddie

Hi Jay...

Tennesee Waltz

Wow what a fantastic performance Jay and after only two years as a banjo player you have a real gift and it would seem an excellent teacher.

For well over fifty years I have loved this tune and longed to be able to play it. Do you have any plans to make a video lesson out of it. I am sure it would be a big hit with all the members of BHO...

I have just started out playing banjo at age 61 and your arrangement of this beautiful tune has given me the incentive to fulfill my lifetime goal... Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Thanks everyone!!

Tam, thanks for your comments! Very nice of you. This is not my arrangement for TN Waltz. It was arranged by Lee Marcus. He did an incredible job and I could never put something together like this!!

Its never too late to learn banjo! If I can help out in any way please let me know!!

Hi Jay..

Thanks for your very kind offer but there is too much ocean between us for me to pop round hence the suggestion you might want to do a training video.

I took up the banjo about three or four weeks ago and I am working my way through Murphy Henry's video lessons and I am pleased to say I am making steady progress learning something new each day and being inspired by people like yourself...

Folk ,Country and Bluegrass remind me of my youth sitting by the Wireless (Radio) with my mother who used to sing along to all these great tunes. Cherished memories.

I don't think any pro could play that arrangement better Jay, including the incredible (timing of a swiss watch) Mr Adams.

You're a talented musician mate.

Great job! Any damn fool can play fast - it takes a musician to play good slow stuff.
