Genre: Bluegrass / Playing Style: Backing Track
I am happy with the way this backing track came out. I used Dave Hum's YouTube video as a template. I found a cover drum track on YouTube for the Bee Gee's (Andy Gibb's) song "Jive Talking." It worked well for this song. To me the finished track has kind of a Rolling Stones vibe to it, but I think it works nice. Believe it or not, I am only using MIDI drums in this track, I'm not playing bass. I use MixCraft Pro software to make all my backing tracks. MIDI is fun to work with. I just use my mouse to enter the bass notes into the program. I listened intently to Dave Hum's bass playing and used that as a guide. I used MODO (a free bass emulator plugin for Digital Audio Workstations like MixCraft) of a classic 1960's P bass. I hope you like it. Enjoy my friend!
