My friends Kent McDaniel and Tawl Paul Fredrick made a CD of Paul singing mostly blues with rock band backup. They asked me to provide some banjo licks for this Muddy Waters song. The CD is available on bandcamp with Tawl Paul after the slash.

That is some fine music, and the banjo is an absolutely perfect touch. Definitely a keeper...

Thanks, SimonSlick ! Glad you like it! I've played with that singer for 5 or 6 years off and on.

That is just about perfect! Paul's voice is like a smooth whiskey, and I now I can't imagine the song WITHOUT your banjo in it. Nicely done!

Don Borchelt econojames For Hey, y'all! I hadn't looked here lately to see if there were comments, and I'm grateful that you like the song and arrangement. When I first hear the Muddy Waters version of the song, I guessed the slide guitar riff between the melody lines could be simulated on banjo. My favorite song on the CD is Autumn Leaves. I don't play on that, but Paul and the other musicians do a great job!
