For the Tune of the Week, 11/15/19, Gentleman from Virginia was written by a renowned fiddler who played in a band with Carroll Best. Tommy won a North Carolina Folk Heritage Award, amongst other honors. This arrangement comes from a bandmate, Roger Howell and from the Canote Brothers. You'll notice the difference. I like how the latter one expresses the melody.
