The owner of Crazy Mule Music in Washburn, Missouri (Not that far from where I live; I had him install spikes on my banjo) personally knew the composer of "I'll Fly Away," Albert Brumley. He went to church with him.

Wow! What a story! Written in 1929 but not published til 3 years later.
Brumley died in 1977 at the age of 72, he was only 24 y.o. when he gave us that gem to enjoy forever.
