I originally started to learn the banjo as a way to share music with my daughter, who was about to turn one at the time. It took a while for me to get comfortable with the technique. I've taken lessons, which are great for my playing but haven't focused on songs that my daughter would know. My daughter is now 3 and lately, we've been playing some songs together. You can hear that she's a little reticent to sing along, but this is a really nice moment and it was great to finally get to make some music together.

Nice, Mark. You are a good dad to involve your daughter in your music. Sounded like she got more confident as the song progressed :-)
A friend of mine's son (2yrs old?) likes to play along with his dad; playing just being slapping strings down on the fretboard. My friend made his son a mini banjo; he was just trying for something kid-sized, but I think it could be played for real, probably. Maybe a 6" pot (my friend makes banjos for sale, so has the skills :-)
