For the old-time Tune of the Week, 5/17/18, here's a couple of lyrics to go with Skillet Good and Greasy. The banjo solo comes from the 60's recording on the Electra Old Time Banjo Project with Bob Siggins on banjo.

Good job! I think this is the first time I have heard you sing.

Thanks, Rick. I sing every Sunday with the Rough and Ready Fruit Jar Pickers. It's a sing-along group and also allows a banjo solo for every song. I sing really loud there, quite opposite from how I'd record at home, like in this recording. I do have several on BHO with some singing. But banjo is my primary focus and passion.
Sadly, the FJP are throwing in the towel in June. They've been together since 2000, I've been a member since 2003. The band leader is aging and ready to slow down, though a few of us may still go to the retirement homes we've been going to every Sunday afternoon.
