For the old time Tune of the Week, 11/18/16, Puncheon Floor (or Puncheon on the Floor) comes from the fiddling of Esker Hutchins of North Carolina. A puncheon floor was made from split logs finished on one side. This upbeat tune modulates from G to D. Rather than play it in open G I tried it in Cumberland Gap tuning (gEADE). Check out the TOTW for more info.

Don't hear many modulating tunes; nicely played.

Thanks, Rick. Those modulating tunes always seem to end up back in the home key.
