This was a popular song in the late fifties/early sixties in the Netherlands. The words are a nostalgic look on pre war Amsterdam, in spite of having moved out, hearing the lyrics still bring up some emotions..... I played it as an instrumental here. It's a musette waltz, similar tempo, but bouncier than it's Viennese counterpart.
