thanks for the nice comments John. It's become an obsession trying to play these Celtic tunes. Actually i think this one is English so not Celtic in origin perhaps.

I always find the origins of songs interesting to trace. On the other hand, songs go between the British Isles, Scotland, Ireland, even Scandinavia, and back and forth across the Atlantic, and at some point if they are regularly played at Sessions it's enough to say that they are part of the living Celtic trad music. :)

Very nice! I used to play this for contradances but had forgotten about it--not a Celtic version, but just old-time. I'll try to pick it up again.
