Genre: Old Time / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time
For the TOTW 5/16/14, played on a Mac Traynham Whyte Laydie openback. I first heard clawhammer banjo by Mac Benford playing this Ed Haley fiddle piece, then listened to both recordings to learn it.

Great! I like this banjo sound better than the cellobanjo for this tune. Keep up the great picking! It sounds as if your banjo is in F tuning (Sandy River Belle tuning). Is that correct?

Agree with Lew. Fine playing as usual Janet.

The banjo is indeed in SRB tuning--something that Adam Hurt always encouraged me to try if a tune is in the key of G, and something Mac Benford expressed surprise in when we communicated about Cabin Creek. Thanks much for your enjoyment of this tune, Lew, Rick, and Doug.
