Here's a quick informal campground recording made after Greg Adams introduced me to and gave me a crash course in this older banjo style. He did the complicated melody line, I did the bass accompaniment. Thanks to Jeff Kase for doing the recording removing some wind noise, and thanks to Greg for his instruction and patience!

Great picking! I just overheard Greg Adams playing this at an informal gathering at Sewannee Banjo Camp! Your picking sounds just like his to my ear!

What you're hearing is mostly his melody. He gets such good volume just picking with his fingernails. My accompaniment was a bit tentative, as I was definitely playing "keep-up" in his playing style, which was new to me. It turned out better than I anticipated. Yes, a fun experience. That's what festival are all about!
