About my banjo: it was made by Robin Smith in 2002 (I received it on april 2002, the month where my twins are born… so unfortunately it was somehow frustrating not to have any time to play it, as me and my wife Rachel had to spend 24 hours a day or so to care our two lovely and precious babies…).
I asked Robin to put a Huber tone ring on a Bill Stoke Timeless Timber Old Wood Pot, and Bill was kind enough to accept to sell an old wood pot without his own Showcase tone ring.
It is mahogany, one piece flange, the neck is mahogany with ebony fingerboard, and a smooth radius (12"), and a special 26" scale, Weaverly tuners, Snuffy Smith heavy bridge (11/16) Crowe spacing, and a Price tailpiece.
The headstoke cut is an original drawing of my own.
