Jim- love your verson of home sweet. It brings back special memories. Twenty years ago i played simple banjo with a group called the Brindlee Mtn. Boys. We did old time two step tunes mostly. Oyr fidller was a gentleman by the name of Rodwell King. and he began playing for dances somewhere back in the mid 30's. He said in those days folk had little entertainment, and there were lots of dances in homes. Neighbors would bring extra chairs to the host home in their mule drawn wagons, take all the furniture out of the living room and temp store it in a bedroom When the dance was over, the traditional last tune was Home sweet../ The fiddler would then announce "Load the chairs in the wagons, and lets go home". We did the same at any VFW, auction, fish fry that we ever played at. Brought back fond memories. Thanks, John
