TOTW (OT) 1/17/14. Mine's based mostly off of Marcus Martin's fiddling. I like playing it AAAB. Enjoy!

Great job, Nathan, you sound like you just came down from your cabin in the mountains to pick a tune for us. Fine playing. I like Martin's fiddling, too. He was using "cross" tuning (GDgd), which allowed him to make very liberal use of drone notes throughout, which helps give him that deep sound. He's also tuned about a semi-tone below G, or three semi-tones below A, where most fiddlers pitch cross tuning.

Thank you, Don. I had never heard of Marcus Martin before but have since tracked down some more of his recordings. He is a very easy fiddler to listen to, in my opinion.
