You sound better and better every time I hear you! Really fine picking. Ralph Stanley played this a lot in concert; in his autobiography, he said it was the first tune his mother taught him on the banjo, when he was eleven years old. The tradition continues, in a place far away from the Clinch Mountains.

Thank you, Don. I respect Dr.Stanley and love his music. I wrote to him 2 or 3 times to ask for an autograph. But haven't received any respond. Maybe he is too busy. I learned this tune about 2 years ago. Tried very hard to play like Dr. Stanley, but haven't succeeded.

My friends told me that my Galax lick wasn't rhythmically correct in this recording. I hope I can play it right after some practice.
