Kenny Baker was a genius playing his fiddle. It's real hard on clawhammer banjo, but I can hear the melody and like to think of Bill Monroe listening to his fox hounds hunt on Jerusalem Ridge by his Kentucky home.

Very, very nice. I like the way you take an ever so slightly different cut at a tune. Elegant and melodic. I gonna make a JanetB playlist just for that reason.

That's the most soulful version I've heard. Bill is smilin' and there is peace on the ridge tonight. It's play listed with me and am tempted more than ever to learn to play it.

Thanks Rick and John. It's gratifying to know somebody enjoys it. There's much to appreciate about Bill Monroe and it's deeper than the bluegrass genre he pioneered. I can make tab if you need it, John. There's lots of pull-offs.

My playing is starting down the road of Bill Keith melodic style. That is the tab I'll look for but thanks for the offer and bringing this tune to my ear.

Very nice! What tuning do you use?

This is played chordally out of open G tuning. Thanks, Lew.
