Very nice picking and a killer tune. Did you use the style 11 purchased from Bill, in this recording?

Hi Marcel, and thanks for the comment! I recorded this tune (and the whole Borrowed TIme CD) about a year and a half ago, so I didn't have the 11 yet. I used my c. '61-62 Gibson 250 on that whole album. - Bob

Thanks Bob, your 250 clearly sounds very well in your hands! I fell in love with that style 11 as soon as I heard and played it at Bills. A very sweet sounding banjo, imho. I wish the very best of success with your CD and and continued picking.

Yeah, I fell in love with the style 11 "blue" right away too, and so I eventually came home with it!! It's a powerhouse of a five, and plays like a dream - one of the nicest necks I've ever played. Can't wait to use it in the studio. Bill Hayes does absolutely beautiful work - and what a nice guy! The Sloan no-hole tone ring probably doesn't hurt either!
