Here's a medley of minstrel era tunes played on a Bell Boucher copy, gut strings. I like to play these at a slow and relaxed pace and find them both very peaceful.

Nice medley. I found a story about Money Musk in a Chief Francis O'Neill book, Irish Folk Music, A Fascinating Hobby (1910). He said, "Its origins remained a mystery which even our Scotch musicians confessed themselves unable to solve. While looking over the dance section of McGoun's Repository of Scots and Irish Airs, published about 1800, I came across a tune called 'Sir Archibald Grant of Moniemusk's Reel.' Here was our key at last. The reel was our mysterious friend 'The Moneymusk' all right, and it was plain to be seen the original name had been abbreviated. "moniemusk' was simply the name of Sir Archibald Grant's residence or estate."
I'm listening to Stephen Wade's version. It's got some lovely chordal nuances I'll try to incorporate....
Thanks again for playing your lovely version.
