The Sandplum Strummers: a once-a-year banjo band composed of individual jazz banjoists performing at the 2006 National Jazz Banjo Festival in Guthrie. The trumpeter is Will Stewart, a great guy & fine banjoist as well.

Thanks! The Strummers were a raucous bunch of banjomaniacs who LOVED to perform. The once-a-year aspect was both a challenge and a stimulus to all who participated. Moreover, the Guthrie festival was billed as a PERFORMING event, with real audiences...not just another bunch of folks sitting in a circle & playing AT each other [boring!]. And having a beautiful historic town to wander around in was a real bonus...I guess you can tell that I miss it!
