This song was written and originally performed by Pete Huttlinger on the Appalachian Picking Society album. Pete's an incredible fingerstyle guitarist and writes some incredible melodies. This is my arrangement including piano, guitar, and banjo. Check out the Appalachian Picking Society Album if you never have. It's been one of my favorites for a long time.

Very exceptional playing, Travis. Proof that music is about melody, tone, and feeling, not how fast you go or how many notes you cram in.

I have always appreciated the banjo and related style of music...I get sick of the music the frat house next to me blasts all the time. Long story short: I randomly stumbled upon this website during midterms week and immediately upon hearing this song I fell in love with banjo completely. And now, this weekend I am looking into purchasing my first! Thank you sir. You're awesome.

This is just beautiful - one of my favorite tracks. I loaded it on to my ipod when it was posted last year and have played it often to friends and family just to show them the versatility and beauty of clawhammer banjo in the hands of a dedicated and gifted musician.
