After hearing Jim Reed's Sound Off post I gave this old favorite a try. It has many chords and was a fun challenge to clawhammer. I never got tired of hearing Doc Watson do it with his sound effects and incredible guitar runs.

Google Doc Watson and listen to him do it on youtube. I got to hear him do it in person three times. It's something you shouldn't miss in this lifetime! Thanks, Rick, for your reliable and kind review.

Nice rendition of a classic Janet... i saw Doc live once... just can't remember if he sang this one, but heard the recording several times, fer sure.

That's awesome Janet! I haven't been able to keep up with the hangout over the last month due to being out of town, vacation, too much work, not enough banjo playing, etc! I've enjoyed catching up on some things that I missed and this is really awesome! You can play just about anything and it always sounds great. I never imagined hearing this on clawhammer like this. Also your gourd banjo playing is impressive. I enjoyed checking out some of those, but I still enjoy the clawhammer sound on this song the most. Thanks for sharing your talents and skills with the hangout!
