Beautiful and peaceful, Kevin. What's the background on the song? Where did you learn it?

It's from what's considered to be the world's first opera, by Claudio Montiverdi. His music spanned the Renaissance and Baroque periods of music in the 1600's. I first heard it many years ago in college. There are lots of versions of this floating around. I found a nice one on iTunes using period instruments; very cool, and I used it as the model. There's only one instrument in my version, the banjola, which I layered, edited, and processed in GarageBand. The constant bass strum has been lowered by an octave.

Impressive... both your playing and prodigieous editing/mixing... and of course, the 'jola rocks.
(Might have to check out this GarageBand software... seems like a great tool.)

GarageBand is available only for Mac's. There are PC look-alikes. Audacity is a decent, but techie one, and it's FREE. I still use it on my Mac once in a while.
